About Greater Things

Greater Things Learning Center and Extended Program is based out of Old Fort Baptist Church and began as an after school program in 2022. Our program currently caters to 43 students spanning first to fifth grade with students from Beech Hill, Sand Hill, and Flowertown public schools that are transported here. After school, they indulge in a nutritious meal before delving into a curriculum that emphasizes academic excellence, enrichment activities, and engaging sessions in Bible Study and praise and worship.

Exciting developments await in January 2024 as we launch our full-day program as a Homeschool Hub. Running from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., this initiative features tailored tutoring sessions aligned with families' home-based curricula. Students participate in dynamic project-based learning for science and math, embark on enriching daily field trips, and rigorously focus on refining their reading, writing, and math skills. At 3pm, the students can seamlessly transition into the Extended Program for after-school enrichment activities.

Greater Things Learning Center and Extended Program has our full day program filled for January, but we're gearing up to open enrollment in February for the 2024-2025 school year. This presents an exceptional opportunity for families looking for alternatives to traditional public or private schools. We will be limited to 45 kids to start in August 2024 so don't wait, our classes will fill quickly!

Growing With Our Students

As our students progress, so does our program. Our 5th grade class will be able to seamlessly continue with us into 6th grade and beyond as we grow each year, adding additional grades into middle and eventually high school. We are committed to expanding our offerings each year to meet the evolving needs of our learners. Join us on this journey of discovery and growth as we pave the way for a brighter future for our students and the Summerville community.
